B team home win

Forest Hall were "ambushed" 3-1 on Wednesday 18th October at Morpeth.

Wins for Geoff, John and Bob. Alan Welsh unfortunately losing to veteran Mike Smith.

The game was a Sicilian with Nc6 for black. Alan tried to close the centre, but during the white kingside attack he had to open it up and blundered a pawn. Mike played well to convert the win in the ending.
