CHANGE OF DATE TO THURSDAY 5th MARCH - It's the annual farmers vs students rugby match / drinks this coming Weds 4th March so we are having our chess club night on Thursday 5th March - we have tried playing on the same night before and it tends to have a deleterious effect on our playing standards.

There's no better way to get better at chess than to join a club: you can never get the same enjoyment (or frustration!) playing on the internet.
If you live in Ashington, Blyth, Ponteland, or any of the other great locations in and around Morpeth, then we are your local club.
Give us a call, contact us via this webpage, or feel free to come along one Wednesday evening.
We'll make sure that you get introduced to the regulars and set you up with a game.

We've got players of all standards from the so-so to the pretty decent. So unless you're either a complete beginner or a former junior international, there's bound to be someone at your level. If you are a former junior international, come down anyway: we'll make room for you on our A Team!
