Our B team lost a competitive match 3-1 to Alnwick last week.
George beat Alan in a Grand Prix attack. When Martin looked at it they had reached a middle-game where white had the better pawn structure and Alan the bishop pair.
John's position was really creative out of the opening but he slipped up later on in the game.
Bob saved his game with some nice play on the kingside and Mick did really well having been drafted in to play for Geoff. His game finished last and was fascinating with all 4 rooks:opposite coloured bishops and "tight" on the clock. Finally hands were shaken on a draw. Our Library poster also worked well with 2 new players turning up to give our club a try.
